Call for Nominations for Massachusetts NAPNAP Board Positions
If you are interested in becoming more involved with your local chapter and impact child health and the role of local NPs, learn more about the open positions and how you or someone you nominate can join the MassNAPNAP Board. Any member of NAPNAP is welcome. The Board meets virtually approximately 4-5 times a year as well as an in-person meeting, additional events and special interest subcommittees. Each position is a two-year term unless specified.

Available Positions
President-Elect (1 year then automatically becomes President for the next 2 years, and 1 year Past-President)
The President-elect shall perform the duties of the office of President in the absence of the President or during the President’s inability to act. The President-elect shall automatically assume the office of President for the ensuing year.
Secretary
The Secretary coordinates meetings and takes and maintains the minutes of the meetings and sends to the Board and the Chapter Services Manager at national NAPNAP.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for all funds and securities of the chapter, monitors and records receipts, deposits all monies in the name of the chapter in banks or other depositories, accounts for and record all financial transactions by the chapter; prepare and render a periodic report to the chapter and an annual report to NAPNAP at the last regular meeting of each term year, complies with an annual audit/review of financial records of the chapter.
Committee: Legislative Chair/Co-Chair
The Legislative chair/co-chair manages advocacy efforts for the chapter through the year that . must follow NAPNAP’s national health policy agenda and strategic plan. The chair keeps abreast of child health and advanced practicing nursing legislation and regulation within the state, whether through direct monitoring or collaborating with key groups with monitoring capabilities. The legislative chair/co-chair works closely with other board officers to mobilize chapter members to advocate on local or state issues in a timely manner.
Committee: Communication Chair/Co-Chair
The Communications Chair/Co-Chair manages communications, public relations functions, and informational social media requirements of Mass NAPNAP Chapter. The Chair will ensure two-way communication channels are functioning. Responsibilities include updating and monitoring Mass NAPNAP Website and Facebook sites, and marketing and promotional materials. The Chair/Co-Chair addresses and forwards any necessary comments on any social media to appropriate committee members, Executive Board, and President.
Committee: Education and Programming Chair/Co-Chair
The Education Chair/Co-Chair is responsible for developing and implementing all continuing education and social networking events provided to the members. Responsible for maintaining records including evaluations, copies of contact hours provided, promotional materials, slides, and CV/resume for a minimum of a 6-year period. Responsible for completing the NAPNAP Continuing Education (CE) accreditation process every 3 years
Committee: Scholarship, Research, and Mentorship Committee Chair/Co-Chair
The Scholarship and Research Committee Chair/Co-Chair is responsible for development, peer review, and oversight of award, scholarship, and/or funding administration for advanced pediatric nursing education, research, clinical projects and special initiatives, and mentorship. The committee oversees development of research symposiums and/or dissemination sessions at chapter events (i.e., poster session).
